Reflecting on April: Commemorations, Family Visits, and Community Bonds

April was a month filled with meaningful moments and cherished memories for our family. We began by joining Rwandans worldwide in solemn remembrance during the 30th commemoration of the genocide against the Tutsi. It was a time to honor the lives lost and reflect on the profound impact on our nation. Mpore Rwanda!

In the midst of this solemnity, we were blessed with visits from loved ones that brought warmth and joy to our home. My brother-in-law's visit was a delight—he arrived bearing thoughtful gifts for everyone, spreading his warmth and consideration throughout his stay. His presence made hosting him a joyous occasion, reminding us of the beauty of family bonds and togetherness. Baby Cherub, especially, made fond memories with his uncle, moments we'll always treasure.

Later in the month, we welcomed aunties who live abroad, their first visit since our marriage. Their thoughtful gifts, including a fishing game box that immediately captured Baby Cherub's heart, added an extra layer of joy to our time together. Catching up with them was a beautiful experience, strengthening family ties and creating lasting memories.

Amidst family gatherings, we also carved out time for simple pleasures, like our small family date enjoying french fries and sodas with Baby Cherub on the 21st. These moments of laughter and connection remind us of the importance of cherishing everyday joys with loved ones.

Towards the end of the month, I had the opportunity to join a community prayer at a friend's place, amidst the soothing rain. Engaging in bible study, worship, and prayer was deeply enriching, rekindling my spirit and strengthening my faith.

As April draws to a close, I'm filled with gratitude for the blessings and experiences it brought. Each moment spent with family and friends, each opportunity to reflect and connect, has been a gift. Looking ahead to May, I pray for continued blessings and a month filled with beauty, love, and cherished moments. Here's to embracing the journey of life with gratitude and open hearts.
